For every trimester

Prenatal Yoga Sessions

A slower, supported practice designed around pregnancy. We focus on pelvic floor awareness, safe stretching and breathing that actually helps during labour.

What we focus on

Room to breathe, space to prepare

Pregnancy changes your centre of gravity, your sleep and your tolerance for standing still. Prenatal classes work with those changes instead of pretending they aren't happening.

Each session opens with side-body breathing and pelvic floor coordination, moves through supported standing shapes using chairs and bolsters, then closes with side-lying rest and a guided relaxation. Teachers are trained in prenatal safety and can adapt the practice for pubic pain, carpal tunnel or a breech position without missing a beat.

How we teach

Safety first, comfort close behind

We don't guess at what's safe in pregnancy. Every sequence is reviewed against current prenatal guidance and adjusted as you move through trimesters.

Trimester-aware sequencing

First, second and third trimester students get different options in the same class, so nobody is doing something their body isn't ready for.

Pelvic floor, not just postures

We teach both the release and the lift of the pelvic floor, which is the part most people miss and the part that helps during birth.

Partners welcome

One Saturday a month is a partner session covering supporting positions, breathing cues and what actually helps in the delivery room.

Our prenatal teachers hold additional certification in pregnancy and postnatal yoga through recognised Australian training providers. We also keep a direct line to two local women's health physiotherapists, so if something in class raises a question we can point you to a professional who knows the answer rather than guessing.

Your first visit

Settling in without the guesswork

Come fifteen minutes early, bring your maternity notes if you have them, and we'll set up your space before the room fills.

Check in and chat

We ask about your due date, any pelvic pain and what your midwife has said. This is a conversation, not a formality.

Set up your nest

Chairs, bolsters and blocks are arranged around your mat before class so nothing is a scramble once we start.

Breathe and release

We open with side-lying breathing and gentle spinal movement to soften the lower back and ribs.

Supported standing

Warrior shapes and wide-legged folds use a chair or wall so balance isn't a concern and hips can open safely.

Pelvic floor practice

Short, focused work on lifting and releasing the pelvic floor, done sitting or lying, with clear verbal cues throughout.

Rest and close

A long side-lying rest with blankets, followed by five minutes of quiet. You leave unhurried, not wrung out.

The prenatal room

Quiet corners and soft props

A small, carpeted room set away from the main studio, so the space stays calm from start to finish.

From our parents

Words from people who came back after birth

I did the full journey pass and it was the only thing that got me through the last ten weeks. The partner workshop was genuinely useful on the night.

Hannah W.
First baby, full journey pass

I had terrible pubic pain and assumed I'd have to stop yoga. The teacher adapted every single posture within one class.

Meera S.
Second trimester student

The six-week postnatal block after birth was gentle and sane. It gave me an hour a week where nobody needed anything from me.

Questions before you book

Can't find what you're looking for? Write to us and we'll reply within one working day.

Ask a question

Twelve weeks onward is our usual starting point. If you're earlier and want to come, talk to us first and we'll check with your midwife's guidance rather than deciding for you.

Not at all. Prenatal classes assume no prior practice. Everything is explained from scratch, and you can stay at the gentlest version for the whole class if that feels right.

Tell us before class. We keep specific modifications ready for symphysis pubis and sacroiliac pain, and we avoid wide-legged shapes that tend to make it worse.

Yes, if you feel up to it. We don't turn anyone away at the door for being past their due date, and we'll keep the shapes gentle and fully supported.

Any missed class can be used for another prenatal session within your pass window, with no forms and no calling ahead. Just book the next slot in the app.

There's metered street parking on Grey Street and a secure car park two minutes' walk away on Tribune Street. The 199 bus stops almost at the studio door.

Tell us your due date and how you're feeling. A prenatal teacher will reply with a class suggestion and any preparations to keep in mind.
